Killing Eve is first and foremost making us nervous. After the events of the season 2 finale, we were left feeling elated and hopeful for Eve and Villanelle. Now we can’t help but feel like there are forces out there that are going to challenge these two and try to rob them of their happy ending. (God be with you to those that try because these two are a powerhouse apart and we’ve only touched the surface of what they can do together.)
The Killing Eve season 4 first footage talks about happy endings and if people like them deserve it. It goes through a series of flashbacks of what happened in the previous season. And then it jump starts it into a whole new set of problems and characters we’re excited to meet and reacquaint ourselves with. Some are getting pushed off ledges and into water while others are spitting at someone not shown but that is definitely causing the character strife.
In the midst of all that chaos is Eve and Villanelle. They’re clearly trying to find their way together, conquering the baddies coming at them, while trying to survive. Along the way they are getting messed up, if the last scene is any indication. The fact that Villanelle is on the scooter eventually means that her banter and teasing of Eve is alive and well. And honestly, we’re here for all of it.
