We’re one step closer to more Killing Eve with the official trailer for season 4. And what a trailer it is! From what we gathered, someone is out to kill The Twelve. They’ve been running things without a proper adversary for ages and it’s about time that they ran into some trouble from, what we suspect, comes from one of their own. But if not someone from the inside, then who?
It’s obviously not Villanelle (Jodie Comer). She’s trying to figure herself out and why she has changed as a person. Killing doesn’t bring her the satisfaction it did before and she’s lost. From what we saw in this trailer and the teaser, that feeling of home is with Eve (Sandra Oh). So she comes to her, actually kneeling in front of her, and asking this other part of her to recognize that she’s changed and to help her.
Eve on the other hand seems to have…moved on from Villanelle. I know, it feels weird saying it and typing it out, but it feels like that. Last we left off in season 3 they were turning back to each other after walking away. Are you telling us they truly walked away from each other and now Eve is living a simple life while having sex with some hot guy whose name we don’t know?
Either way, Killing Eve season 4 looks explosive and like the messiness that we’ve enjoyed for a while is here to return for one last adventure. As for how it ends…the scorpion and the frog story coupled with the obviously queer song for Villaneve makes it seem like these two are going to end up killing each other before this is all over. The writing is on the wall and we see it coming.
