Undone season 2 is all about pushing the boundaries of storytelling through love. Now, we’re talking familial love, romantic love, and timeless love. And this season moulds the life of our lead Alma, played by the talented Rosa Salazar. But it also does the same thing to those around her, who have just been waiting for a moment to shine.
Here are 5 reasons why you should be watching Undone season 2!
1. The sisterhood.
Alma and Becca’s relationship was a contentious one in season one of Undone. They couldn’t understand each other and were on different walks of life. Not to mention, they resented each other while wanting to be sisters through and through. Season 2 sees a shift in that relationship. Instead of them being so angry with each other, they join forces and powers to discover the mystery to those they love.
2. The mom backstory.
Camila was the epitome of what a Latina mom is in Undone season 1. The newest season sees a shift in that her character seems to be broken by the events that have taken place in her life. And we’re left wondering a bunch of questions. Did the dad coming back to life shift Camila’s entire perspective? And what makes her cry, alone and secluded from the world?
3. Messing with time.
There is no stop to the changes that Alma makes in the lives of those she trusts and loves. That’s even more true now that Becca has joined forces with her. They are here to get facts and the answers to all their questions when it comes to their mom. What really drove her into the arms of Alma and Becca’s father? And has dear old dad figured everything out already?
4. The art.
Undone wouldn’t be the kind of show it is today without the distinctive art that makes it what it is now. Rotoscoping, a kind of animation, is responsible for transformation wht we know as our world into a masterpiece. And it’s thank you these artists (and painters) that season 2 continues being on everyone’s mind, season after season.
5. Complex mental health.
Season 2 of this series continues the main characters journey through her mental health. But she isn’t alone in this nor is it just Alma’s story. This is a story about family, love, and longing. And it’s a story about how that transforms us and the actions we go through with in the real world. Some of them are dangerous and others just make sense and lead us to something new.
