Jordan Peele’s latest project ‘Nope’ is one that we’ve been curious about since July of last year when the ‘Nope’ movie twitter account popped up out of nowhere with a poster featuring an ominous looking cloud/kite thing. The speculation began immediately after with everyone trying to figure out what it was. We finally got what we assumed was the official trailer during super bowl Sunday and it kind of gave us some insight but still had us asking “What is this movie about?”
Well, fast forward to June and we now know that the weird cloud thingy is in fact a UFO. Just what is on that UFO, we have zero ideas but based on the unexpected FINAL trailer that we got on Thursday, it’s not going to be a good situation. In the trailer we see Daniel Kaluuya’s character OJ Haywood outside wrangling horses with his dad Otis (Keith David). As Otis attempts to make a phone call, he notices something is wrong with his dad. As he approaches him, he falls off his horse. Something has just killed him.
In the next scene Otis is talking to his sister Emerald (Keke Palmer) about what happened. He tells her he saw something big in the clouds and he thinks whatever it was is responsible for their father’s death. This leads Emerald on a mission to try and get “The Oprah shot” by setting up some cameras on the ranch to capture alien life in real time. This way they can prove that what killed their father wasn’t from Earth. If you’ve ever seen a movie involving aliens, things like this never end well.
First of all, OJ and Emerald have no clue what they’re up against. The one thing they do seem to catch onto is that if you don’t look up, whatever is in the sky won’t get you. Crazy right? This alone has us trying to decipher what the big picture is with this film. Like we told you, it’s a Jordan Peele film so it’s going to be what we don’t expect.

We also got some really cool character posters featuring Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, as well as cast members Steven Yuen, Brandon Perea, and Michael Wincott. Check them out.
