One Tree Hill has always been a big part of our lives and it will continue to be just that. The actors on that show feel like family, because that show was a big part of us growing up. A big part of who we still are.
That means when the actors on the show celebrate, we celebrate. When they are sad, we are sad. Yes, we’re aware how that sounds, but if you are a One Tree Hill fan, you know that we’re all family.
Our hearts broke for one of our One Tree Hill family, Bevin Prince. Her husband has passed away after being struck by lightening. He was out on a boat with friends near Masonboro Island when he was struck by lightning, according to WECT News.
Bevin had married, Will, the love of her life in 2016 and the two had recently relocated to North Carolina during the pandemic so that she could open Recess by Bevin Prince. He was a big supporter of his wife, and wanted nothing more than to see her dreams come true.
“The unimaginable has happened and we have to say goodbye to another friend, @britwilliam. My best friend @bevinaprince beloved husband. Will, it feels surreal writing this. Mostly because it feels like you were just getting started,” Odette Annabelle wrote in a heartfelt post on her Instagram. “The life and love that you gave to my best friend made it feel okay that we were thousands of miles apart. As I sit in your beautiful home, looking out onto the ocean, I keep thinking about what a gift you gave to Bevin. What a gift you gave to everyone who knew you to witness the passion that burned in your soul. The passion to help people, to build your business, to find happiness like I’d never seen from you living in North Carolina with Bevin.”
The post continued, “You were perfect for her in every way. You supported her dreams, you made her feel seen, you adored her with every bit of your soul and I will forever be grateful to witness that kind of love. Being here with Bevin, hearing her share stories about you and your love breaks my heart for her, because she lost the love of her life and the world lost a really really good one. I know you will still be with her and your gorgeous brothers and family the Prince family, and we will all feel you spreading your light and beauty through everyone who was fortunate enough to know you. At only 33 years old, you did it, and you went out like no other in a blaze of glory. May you Rest In Peace you charming, witty, beautiful British man who loved the shit out of America. I love you.”
:I’ve just asked this of you my friends and family on social media, but here I am asking again. If you feel compelled to help or know Will and want to support, in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to these causes that Will believed in with his heart. One of them being the business @recessbybevinprince that he built alongside his wife and my best friend @bevinaprince. Bevin and the women in her company have worked so hard to keep this dream going and all he would have wanted was to see them continue to succeed. https://gofund.me/946dacaf Link will be in my bio. Thank you so much for all of your support during this time. I love you all ♥️,” she ended the post.
Bevin’s co-star Hilarie Burton Morgan also posted a touching message about Bevin and the Go Fund Me.
“In every group of friends, there’s always the “strong one”. They’re the ones who show up when things are difficult. They bring laughter and light to dark corners. It’s important to protect those friends, cause they’ll never ask for help.” Burton Morgan wrote, “Our friend @bevinaprince is one of those strong ones. She is light personified. As some of you know, her beloved husband @britwilliam passed this week. It’s unfathomable.”
She continued, “Bevin is a huge part of our OTH family. She and Will believed in Wilmington and the community there so much, they moved down from NYC during the pandemic to open up @recessbybevinprince . They have always valued community, and so there is a link in my bio if you are able to show up as part of that greater village and lend her some support. Please lift our friend up. She is a remarkable woman. 💖”
We’re thinking of Bevin and all of her and Will’s friends and family. We are so sorry for your loss.
