It’s not easy coping with your parents’ divorce and their new lives when you’re a little girl. But add having to fit in your freshman year of high school while figuring out exactly who you are to that, and it all has the potential to be a mess.
That’s what happens to Amber Brown (who you probably recognize from The Rookie). Suddenly, her life is turned upside down and she has to learn to deal with her parents’ divorce while she learns to know herself and fit in.
She feels different, and if high school has one special quality, it’s making you feel horrible for being different. So Amber has to find her own voice as she tries to fit in a place that seems to have no place for her…until she finds that place and a best friend to lean on.
