We’re always on board when one of our favorite books is adapted! Netflix is becoming the go-to place for the book adaptations we’ve always wanted to see on the small screen. On this occasion, a limited series based on the novel The Perfect Couple by Elin Hilderbrand is in the works. Ready?

According to Deadline, Elin Hilderbrand’s most successful novel, titled The Perfect Couple, will be adapted for the small screen by Netflix and 21 Laps. The adaptation will be a limited series as part of the agreement between the two entertainment giants.
While few details of the adaptation are known at this time, we do know that Jenna Lamia – whose previous work includes the recently canceled Good Girls – will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Also, we know that the show will consist of 6 episodes also comes from and will be produced by The Jackal Group.
The series of murder mysteries follow Celeste Otis who, on the 4th of July, is about to marry the perfect man, who happens to be from the wealthiest family on Nantucket. But when a body is discovered floating in the harbor on the morning of what was to be the #weddingoftheyear, everyone at the party is suddenly suspicious.
The Perfect Couple is created by showrunner and executive producer Jenna Lamia. Also executive producing are Shawn Levy and Josh Barry of 21 Laps Entertainment; Hillerbrand; for The Jackal Group, Gail Berman, and Hend Baghdady.
21 Laps is the production company behind the world-famous and critically acclaimed Stranger Things, whose record the fourth season is ranked #1 on Netflix’s most popular TV list of all time in English.
The company also produces the fan-favorite Shadow and Bone, which will launch a new season within the next year, along with its limited series adaptation of the Pulitzer-winning bestseller All The Light We Can Not See, which we can also see on Netflix soon.
