In Last Light, Andy and Elena Yeats are a broken family trying to find their way back together, making plenty of mistakes along the way. So we asked Matthew Fox and Joanne Froggatt for their thoughts on what Andy and Elena could have done better to bond as their family. And their answers are great because they reflect the core of the show and its backstory.
Ultimately, Andy and Elena try their best, and even their worst decisions were, at least initially, well-intentioned. What would we not be willing to do for the ones we love the most? The answer is nothing. Andy and Elena reflect that, exploring the prettiest and ugliest parts of it.
Matthew Fox took a break from acting a while ago and Last Light brought him back, and we couldn’t help but ask him why and if this was a one-time thing or if he had plans for future projects.
