Stargirl returns from a short hiatus to find that the JSA’s secrets and lies are adding up on 3×05, “Frenemies – Chapter Five: The Thief.” Those obstacles could sow more doubt in a team struggling to stay together. Not to mention, there’s still a murder mystery afoot in Blue Valley.
The team notices when Courtney starts to pull away from the Justice Society of America’s happenings, but they don’t know it’s because she’s helping Cameron step into his powers. Since the photos show Cameron speaking with Courtney and her friends at their infamous lunch table, maybe Courtney and Cameron’s secret comes to light sooner than later.
Meanwhile, Mike and Jakeem’s side-lined search for answers could get a spotlight when they turn to Cindy with a proposition. Since the episode is titled “Frenemies – Chapter Five: The Thief,” there’s a chance the duo goes into the tunnels when Cindy least expects them. Maybe they catch her with the laptop, giving Mike and Jakeem the upper hand.
Still, the Stargirl promo video focuses on Sylvester, Yolanda, and Rick’s trip to the tunnels. So, that trio could be the ones to uncover the truth about the Gambler’s laptop. That possibility would explain — not excuse — Sylvester’s outburst in the promo video. Then, Mike and Jakeem’s proposition could be something to repair Cindy’s reputation further.
Furthermore, “Frenemies – Chapter Five: The Thief” features Yolanda following her intuition to a shocking discovery. Of course, Cindy having the Gambler’s laptop is less than surprising, especially because Yolanda believes such behavior is still possible from Cindy Burman. However, learning about Sylvester’s darker side is sure to be shocking.
