At first reaction, we’d cry and scream and wonder why this was happening, but because it’s coming from the mouth of Jenny Han we have faith. The Summer I Turned Pretty series is one of our favorites and it will forever be just that.
We know that it’s not going to be the same as the books. Yes, that’s us you hear still sobbing and crying and screaming. The books are so special, you can’t change them. Well that’s our initial reaction anyways.
“There’s always gonna be changes here and there, so I guess you’ll just have to wait and see,” Han told E! News.
We’re not good at waiting and we fully admit that. Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah are such a part of our lives that we need them in our lives now. While Jenny Han saying that scares us, she added, “I’m the one doing the changes, so I guess get mad at me, because I’m the one who’s changing it!”
Somehow that’s comforting because we have so much faith in her as we know that she’s an amazing author and she knows her readers.
Before you say it, we’ve rewatched the series already, and will again before 2023. We can’t wait for It’s Not Summer Without You, and are counting down the days until it’s here.
