Netflix has announced Wednesday season 2, which is probably the least surprising thing ever. But it’s still exciting to think about Netflix giving us more time to spend in this world. At least, it would be exciting if we weren’t channeling our inner Wednesday Addams and shrugging it all off. After all, pretty much every show is at risk of cancellation these days, which means not getting the axe is actually a big deal.
With that being said, if any 2022 series was ever a sure thing for earning a season 2, Wednesday would definitely be it. Between Jenna Ortega’s brilliant performance in the titular role, the unbelievable number of records the show broke for viewership, critical acclaim, and the dance (you know the one) going viral on social media and even grabbing Lady Gaga’s attention, how could Netflix not capitalize on all of it by giving us more? This series is so powerful, even, a certain figure skater at the center of a doping scandal, coming from a war-mongering and ISU-banned country, even got herself some viral positive press by doing a cheap impression of our girl’s killer dance moves.
Anyway.
Now that we know we are, for sure, going to get more episodes, the natural question is what to expect. Well, it’s a bit early here, but nobody’s starving us for information. Much. As part of an exclusive with Tudum.com, Miles Millar — who shares the creator, showrunner, and EP titles with Alfred Gough — gave us a teeny, tiny hint. There’s definitely enough here to keep the theories coming…for now:
“‘[The stalker proves] that threats remain out there… to both Wednesday and the school,’ Millar says. ‘Not all not loose ends have been tied up neatly as she thinks they have.'”

Outside of the mystery, this series has a lot to offer. (Again, that’s why everyone has gone wild over it.) Going forward, we’re hoping everything we love gets even more attention. Just off the top of our heads, we need to see more from the rest of the Addams family and the unlikely friendship with Enid. It’s also going to be interesting to see what the dynamic between Wednesday and Bianca is. Actually, let’s be honest. We’re just down for whatever torture the outcasts have in store for us…but normies need not apply.
