Carnival Row is without a doubt one of those series that deserves more than two seasons. With rich world-building, interesting characters, and love stories…it should be getting 3, 4, or 5 seasons. But here we are with the second and final season of the Prime Video series starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne. And from what we’re seeing in the official trailer, these two are more united than ever and humans are an even bigger mess. Figures.
In the Carnival Row official trailer, Philo is no longer hiding who he is and he’s no longer an inspector. But that also means that he doesn’t have the access or the connections he had before to investigate what is happening to the creatures of this world. Because humans, the messy beings they are, are proving to be the real monsters of this story by attacking, killing, and threatening any creature who steps a toe out of line.
And by the time you’re done with the official trailer you’re left frustrated for the creatures and hopeful that they’ll come out on top. Because in no way, shape, or form do we want to see the oppressors aka the humans win this one. Especially those who do this for profit or power. Now those are the monsters who need to be freed of their power, imprisoned, or cut down so their poison stops spreading and causing the deaths of creatures in Carnival Row. I said, what I said.
