Now when we were kids we were definitely afraid of asteroids and the world coming to an end. That being said, we were also afraid of alligators under our bed, the dark and straws that bent. It is what it is. No one said it had to make sense.
Asteroid City seems a little cray cray, but you know, we’ve seen cray cray before.
The movie “…takes place in a fictional American desert town circa 1955. Synopsis: The itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events.”
The movie has an all star cast which includes Maya Hawke, Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Liev Schreiber, Steve Carell, Matt Dillon, Hong Chau, Willem Dafoe, Margot Robbie, and Jeff Goldblum.
Asteroid City opens in theaters on June 23, 2023.
