There’s nothing that makes us happier than a Taylor Swift surprise. The superstar is always five steps ahead and well, we’re definitely not hating on that. We actually enjoy the fact that she’s always giving us surprises, easter eggs, and so much joy.
Taylor announced at her Era’s Tour stop in Nashville, that she would be releasing Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) this July.
She also took to Instagram and posted about the release saying on the carousel post, “I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20. The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness. I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing … and living to speak about it.”
Speak Now is one of our favorite albums. The songs are amazing (as are all her songs), but we have to admit that we’re definitely looking forward to the six songs from the vault.
She captioned her post, “It fills me with such pride and joy to announce that my version of Speak Now will be out July 7 (just in time for July 9th, iykyk 😆) I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20. The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness. I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing … and living to speak about it. With six extra songs I’ve sprung loose from the vault, I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) with you on July 7th. Pre-order now at TaylorSwift.com 💜💜💜”
So you may be asking yourself what is it about July 9th? Well in the song Last Kiss on the album, Taylor mentions July 9th, “I do recall now, the smell of the rain / Fresh on the pavement / I ran off the plane / That July ninth, the beat of your heart / It jumps through your shirt.”
But there is also the rumor that on July 9th, Taylor will released her memoir.

We have so many questions. We’ve already preordered Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), but if she’s releasing a memoir, give us all the preorder links, because they will be used.
Now we wait.
