Like a lot of The Walking Dead fans, we’ve stopped watching a long time ago. Whether it was after Glenn’s death, Rick’s disappearance, or Carl dying, we’ve all had our moment where we just walked away. The only thing is that The Walking Dead has continued on, the OG series having 11 seasons and multiple spin-offs happening along the way. The Walking Dead: Dead City just so happens to be a spin-off but not the one you expected.
Maggie and Negan are at the heart of The Walking Dead: Dead City in the official trailer dropped by AMC. And even though these two are famously villains (Negan bludgeoned Glenn, aka her partner, in front of her) there is something so intriguing about this duo. There is hate there; an unbridled anger that will never go away. And it’s justified. But there are similarities between these two that creates an unstoppable force that will lead these two to New York City to get Maggie’s son Herschel back.
What’s even more interesting is that The Walking Dead: Dead City happens a couple of years after the conclusion of the OG show. That leads you to wonder, where are Michonne and Rick? And where is Daryl and Carol? Who is left? Even more so, because we saw this in the trailer, how have the walkers developed into twisted mutations straight out of Resident Evil?! Like us, the internet had thoughts about all of this madness we’re seeing.
Some fans were just on the train of both Cohan and Morgan looking hot on the official poster.
Others pointed out it was just another normal day for Maggie and Negan.
Others were surprised that Maggie and Negan have even gotten to this place or weren’t too sold on the friendship.
And some made it clear that they were only interested in seeing the Michonne and Rick reunion spin-off.
