ATX TV Festival opened its 2023 season! The second day followed in the footsteps of the first and started with a bang with the presentation of Primo, which was followed by Everyone Is Doing Great, and Minx. Accused came to give our day a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree turn and Cruel Summer finished giving us chills…in a good way. Time to go over it all! Ready?
PRIMO (AMAZON FREEVEE)

Primo creator/executive producer and stars joined ATX TV Festival to present the show. In the conversation, the stars made it clear that the series is not about perpetuating stereotypes, but about building a relatable family.
Primo is a coming-of-age, single-camera comedy, inspired by Serrano’s life growing up in San Antonio, TX, follows Rafa Gonzales, a wide-eyed 16-year-old being raised by his clever mother, Drea, and his five overbearing uncles (Rollie, Mike, Ryan, Jay, and Mondo) as they live their lives on the south side of San Antonio.
EVERYONE IS DOING GREAT (HULU)

Everyone Is Doing Great season 2 world premiere is at ATX TV Festival! It’s an irreverent show, which grew throughout season 1. The cast and crew come together to discuss both their work making the show possible (the series is independently produced) and what we can expect for season 2.
What we got clear from the conversation is that Everyone Is Doing Great season 2 shows growth both in the characters and in the emotional conflicts and humor. The characters are pulled back together in the second season as they grapple with the fallout of love, loss, and fame.
Stay tuned for our exclusive interview with the cast that we will publish in the next few days!
MINX (STARZ)

Minx returns! ATX TV Festival exclusively premiered season 2 of this awesome show. After the premiere, the stars of the show shared some behind-the-scenes trivia like their favorite parts of working on the show, how they feel about ’70s-style clothing…and that Joyce and Doug are better off as friends. Are you agree?
ACCUSED (FOX)

Cast join ATX TV Festival for a conversation about the show’s complex and timely explorations of ordinary people caught in extraordinary situations. And the only thing the stars would change would be the one-episode norm. They want some stories to continue and that just shows how comfortable they are in this show.
CRUEL SUMMER (FREEFORM)

New cast, new mystery, new town. Freeform premieres exclusively on ATX TV Festival Cruel Summer season 2, followed by a Q&A with the creatives and cast.
Set in an idyllic waterfront town in the Pacific Northwest, the next chapter of Cruel Summer follows the rise and fall of an intense teenage friendship.
Approaching the story from three different timelines surrounding Y2K, the season twists and turns as it tracks the early friendship between Megan, Isabella, and Megan’s best friend Luke, the love triangle that blossomed, and the mystery that would impact all of their lives going forward.
