It’s that time of year again! After an epic season 10, ATX TV Festival returns with a season 11 full of news, surprises, panels, and great conversations that bring us closer to our favorite artists. So that you don’t miss anything, we bring you the highlights of day 4 AKA the last day. Ready?
Let the fun begin!
DAY 4 (LAST DAY)

Flowers in the Attic: The Origin (Lifetime)

One of my favorite panels from ATX TV Festival Season 11 and the best panel of the day! A conversation with the series creatives and cast members, Paul Sciarrotta, Jemima Rooper, Harry Hamlin, Alana Boden, Hannah Dodd, and T’Shan Williams presents a show full of intrigue and darkness that challenges our moral limits…and helps us understand how anyone can become a monster.
This cast is so lovely…and very soon you will be able to meet them because we had the pleasure of talking with them about Flowers in the Attic: The Origin, what to expect from this prequel, and why it’s important to know this side of the story. Stay tuned!
Scrubs Reunion (Hulu)

Fans lined around the block to hear the staff of Sacred Heart Hospital reminisce on their time with the show. Showrunner Bill Lawrence sat with cast members Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke,John C. McGinley, Judy Reyes, and Neil Flynn, laughing over their favorite scenes, sharing stories, and hinting at the possibility of a future reboot. Nostalgia at its finest!
Monarch

Creator/executive producer Melissa London Hilfers, executive music producer Adam Anders, and cast member and singer-songwriter Beth Ditto dove into the creative process of bringing the series’ original music to life.
The music is the chef’s kiss, it’s what introduces us to the scene in an inversive way. Music is so important that, on many occasions, we know a movie only because of it. Isn’t anyone able to recognize the Harry Potter franchise just from its music?
Into the IP-Verse: Building a Franchise

There’s no denying that in the era of IP, successful franchises are king – but franchises aren’t born overnight. So what does it take to develop and maintain a universe that not only honors the original IP but expands on it in new and exciting ways? What are the hallmarks of a truly successful franchise?
How do you decide who gets the spinoff/dedicated series from large and extravagant worlds? Join the creatives and executives behind some of TV’s biggest franchises for a look at the inner workings of the IP-verse – and where it’s headed next.
What an ATX Festival this year! It was a roller coaster of emotions and we don’t want to say goodbye. But, as they say, all good things must come to an end. So, it’s time to recharge batteries. Until next year, ATX TV Festival!
