If, like us, you’ve been dying for intel on a The Morning Show season 3 release date, we finally have some details. Better yet, Apple TV+ also released some first look images…and they are most definitely going to keep us occupied until the new season begins. So, what do we know so far, and what has us thinking all the thoughts? Let’s take a (first) look.
This season, our favorite messy morning “news” and fluff — remember the handwashing song? Because we’re still obsessed — show looks like it’s going to come up against a familiar obstacle. As in, it’s dealing with what basically all of us with online lives are suffering from these days.: tech bro billionaire interference. According to Apple TV+:
“In season three, the future of the network is thrown into question and loyalties are pushed to the brink when a tech titan takes an interest in UBA. Unexpected alliances form, private truths are weaponized and everyone is forced to confront their core values both in and out of the newsroom.”
We have a particular rival streamer in mind that can probably relate to its entire existence being “thrown into question.” Which, really, we wouldn’t at all be surprised if The Morning Show season 3 is inspired by recent events. Say, the complete mismanagement of a well-known brand in TV? Hm. Between the first season’s take on the great industry reckoning that ultimately wasn’t and the second season’s very timely look at the media’s mismanagement of the COVID-19 pandemic, why wouldn’t this series come for the people calling (attempting to call, in this case?) the behind-the-scenes shots? We’re basically like get them, TMS. Go for it!
But anyway. That’s probably none of our business.
The Morning Show season 3 release date
Here’s what is our business: willing September to hurry up and get here. Because The Morning Show season 3 premieres its first two episodes on Wednesday, September 13. While we don’t know what the new characters will be like (yet), we’re definitely looking forward to the newest additions to the cast. In particular, we can’t wait to support Nicole Beharie in her new role. (Side note: that Sleepy Hollow chapter of Maureen Ryan’s book is a lot.) And, of course, Jon Hamm is always a fan favorite.
Um. But speaking of fan favorites: We’ve never exactly made our love for Julianna Margulies a secret. So, as a surprise to basically zero people, we already need more intel of what Laura Peterson is up to. That absolutely involves finding out how her relationship with Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) is going.
..and, yes, we need to know the story behind that red lipstick. Sorry, not sorry. We’ll get to the deep thoughts when the time comes. But for now, it’s all speculation, trying to figure out what we even want out of this season, and — yes — the red lipstick.

The Morning Show season 3 is coming to Apple TV+ on September 13. Let us know what you’re looking forward to in the comments!
