When you have a show as big as Money Heist was for Netflix, there’s bound to be more. And now, after a South Korean remake of the series, comes a more straightforward spinoff: Berlin, a show focusing on the fan-favorite character. Alex Pina is also behind the spinoff.
The show will focus on Andrés de Fonollosa, aka Berlin, a character fans of Money Heist don’t actually know all that much about, despite his backstory being somewhat explored in the fifth season of Money Heist. The little we know about him, however, promises a very interesting story for the new show.
He does, after all, have 5-ex wives. And he is The Professor’s brother, so there is that. We’re not saying we hope this show gives us some of the answers Money Heist didn’t give us, but we’re also not saying the opposite. Closure is nice and all.
