The Fall of the House of Usher continues to look like a horror delight in the newest clip for the Mike Flanagan mini-series. Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s short story of the same name, it tells the story of “ruthless siblings Roderick and Madeline Usher” who “have built Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into an empire of wealth, privilege and power. But past secrets come to light when the heirs to the Usher dynasty start dying at the hands of a mysterious woman from their youth.” That mysterious woman just so happens to be a familiar face, Carla Gugino, who is at the center of the newest clip for the show.
In it, she’s lazing about in a red-lit room at an invite-only party. And she looks absolutely with her blonde hair, lingerie, and the way that she takes up space like she owns this place. What follows is a conversation about consequences with the host of the party, Prospero “Perry” Usher, played by Sauriyan Sapkota. Because this dynasty is used to getting what they want with no backlash. What they don’t know is that she’s the consequences and what they should be afraid of.
They all should be afraid.
