Netflix has given us a fair bit of binge-worthy British YA shows. There’s no denying that. But nothing lasts forever, and with Sex Education now gone, we need something to fill the void it has left in our lives. Or, at least, the void the first few seasons left. We don’t really recognize the last one.
Hopefully, Everything Now will be that something. We gotta admit, it looks pretty promising. And though the show deals with heavy subjects, a lot of our favorites do. It doesn’t have to be light to be good, it just has to be dealt with care.
Here’s the synopsis for the show:
When 16-year old Mia returns home after a lengthy recovery from an eating disorder, she is thrust back into the chaotic world of sixth form only to find that her friends have moved on with teen life without her. Along with an ever-evolving bucket list, three best mates and a major new crush, Mia throws herself headfirst into a world of dating, parties and first kisses, soon discovering that not everything in life can be planned for.
