The Iron Claw is a serious movie. The synopsis makes it clear: “The Von Erich family becomes a dynasty of professional wrestlers who make history, but a series of tragic events tests their strength and spirit.” And yet, we cannot help but look at it and see an evolved version of Stephen Amell‘s Heels.
But like, with actors who don’t speak up against their union and all of that.
And like, it’s based on a true story! The film, as the title and synopsis state, revolves around the Von Enrich family, a dynasty of wrestlers who popularized the iron claw wrestling hold. But the drama outside the ring was always bigger than the drama inside the ring.
