The 2009 movie, Princess and the Frog, was a good one. Then again, we have a soft spot for all things Disney. It’s like no matter how old we get our Disney loving hearts still remain supreme.
We’ve known that more on Tiana was coming, but with the way that the world is, we’re never surprised when things take a little longer or are delayed. We are surprised and excited though when we get more news about a project.
And we now have more information about the Tiana animated series. The show, which was originally announced in 2020, has enlisted Joyce Sherri as the show’s lead writer and director.
Her writing credits include, Midnight Mass on Netflix, as well as shorts like Beauty, Forever, Down, Down, Baby and The Family Romance.
The series will follow Tiana, as she “sets off for a grand new adventure as the newly crowned Princess of Maldonia, but a calling to her New Orleans past isn’t far behind.”
The Tiana animated series will air on Disney+. It is expected to air in 2024.
