After her standout performance in Killers of the Flower Moon, Lily Gladstone is starring in the upcoming crime thriller miniseries Under the Bridge. Based on Rebecca Godfrey’s book about the true story of a murdered teenager, it deconstructs our own pre-conceived notions of what young women are capable of in a world that consistently puts them in boxes as to how they should act. At least that’s what I got from the trailer.
Gladstone plays Cam Bentland, a local police officer on the case. And she is joined by Riley Keough, who plays Rebecca Godfrey, a woman who isn’t a cop and hopes to get answers from the young women in question because of that. Of course, Gladstone’s character is skeptical and continues to peel back the layers of what happened to the missing girl and how it will forever shape the island they call home.
