10 ‘Bridgerton’ Fanvids That Celebrate Benedict Bridgerton and Benophie

The countdown to Bridgerton Season 3 is on! The first of the two-part season is almost a month away, and conversations around the ton are stirring up once more. Some fans are excitedly discussing which scenes from Julia Quinn’s Romancing Mister Bridgerton will make it from the page to the screen. Others wonder how Bridgerton will spice up an already spicy season with teases of romantic futures, including that of Luke Thompson’s Benedict Bridgerton.

The Netflix series switched up the books’ order to deliver Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington’s friends-to-lovers romance prior to Benedict’s Cinderella retelling. Fans (myself included) can’t help but wonder if this upcoming social season will introduce Sophie Beckett, the female main character of Quinn’s An Offer from a Gentleman. Benedict’s book does have a two-year time jump that would need to be set in motion – or truncated – at some point in Bridgerton’s very near future to be successful.

So, as anticipation builds for Polin and all that awaits, like the long-awaited casting of Miss Beckett herself, Bridgerton fans may find themselves returning to the first two seasons of the romance series or even Quinn’s novels. However, there is a third, equally entertaining option: fanvids. Passionate fans have taken it upon themselves to show a little extra love to the second-born Bridgerton and his leading lady, who has yet to show her face in ton – not even behind a masquerade mask.

The videos below share common themes in their content and song choices (Taylor Swift’s “illict affairs” is a favorite). They’re also understandably influenced by 2015’s Cinderella, starring Lily James. By highlighting Benedict’s easygoing attitude and romantic heart or top-tier fan castings (Jessie Mei Li!) for Sophie, Bridgerton fans make it known through gorgeous edits that they are ready to see more of Benedict’s story and meet Sophie.
