After its series premiere on Netflix last year, Tour de France: Unchained is back with its eight-episode sophomore season to go “behind the scenes of the 21 stages of Tour de France 2023: amid the scandals, low blows and thirst for glory; amid the dramatic falls and historic breakaways; amid the withdrawals and desire to win: the series dives back into the fierce battle of the riders for the yellow jersey!”

Saturday, June 15: 100 Days to Indy Season 2
100 Days to Indy, currently airing on Fridays at 9/8c on The CW, will stream its second season on Netflix this month. “Reigning Indianapolis 500 champion Josef Newgarden returns to defend his epic race day triumph with an abundance of generational talent hot on his heels,” per the season’s synopsis. 100 Days to Indy Season 2 will feature rising star Pato O’Ward, former Indy 500 champion Marcus Ericsson, and SERIES champion Alex Palou. Plus, one of racing’s top champions, Kyle Larson, makes “a special bid for motorsports glory in his first attempt at the Indy 500.”
100 Days to Indy’s first season is already available on Paramount+ and Netflix. Penske Entertainment produces the docuseries. Emmy Award-winning Patrick Dimon and Adam Marinelli serve as co-executive producers.

Tuesday, June 18: Power of the Dream

Power of the Dream is “about the empowering and unlikely true story of how a group of professional women’s basketball players took on a WNBA team owner and rallied behind now-Senator Raphael Warnock, forever changing the landscape of their sport and the course of U.S. politics.” The feature-length documentary will feature athletes like 4-time WNBA Champion Sue Bird, retired WNBA star Angel McCoughtry, Layshia Clarendon of the Los Angeles Sparks, Elizabeth Williams of the Chicago Sky, and Nneka Ogwumike of the Seattle Storm, as well as media personalities Jemele Hill and Holly Rowe.
Presented by Prime Video Sports, Power of the Dream is from Industrial Media, Trilogy Films, Joy Mill Entertainment, and TOGETHXR. Dawn Porter, Sue Bird, Nneka Ogwumike, and Tracee Ellis Ross produce the documentary. Eli Holzman, Aaron Saidman, Jessica Robertson, Brett Bouttier, and Reni Calister executive produce. Porter is also set to direct.

Thursday, June 20: Federer: Twelve Final Days

Premiering in select theaters on June 13 and launching on Prime Video on June 20, Federer: Twelve Final Days chronicles the final 12 days of Roger Federer’s illustrious tennis career. “Originally a home video never intended for public viewing, the film captures Federer at his most vulnerable and candid self, as he says goodbye to a game and the fans that shaped his life for the last two decades,” per its synopsis.
Academy Award-winning director Asif Kapadia and director Joe Sabia helm the feature-length documentary. It features interviews with legendary rivals and friends Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray.
Presented by Prime Video Sports, Federer: Twelve Final Days is a Lafcadia Productions production. Asif Kapadia and George Chigne produced the film, which was directed by Kapadia and Joe Sabia.

America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders

From Greg Whiteley and the team behind Last Chance U, this seven-episode docuseries sees “the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders open their doors to document the personal stories behind the uniforms – revealing the drive, hustle, and drama among the cheerleaders and coaches. For many, it’s a dream to make the team – but that’s only just the beginning.”

Tuesday, June 25: Clipped‘s Penultimate Episode
FX’s Clipped, which premiered Tuesday, June 4, exclusively on Hulu and is based on ESPN’s 30 for 30 podcast, The Sterling Affairs, goes “ behind the scenes of a notorious NBA owner’s racist remarks, captured on a tape heard around the world,” per its synopsis. Laurence Fishburne stars as famed coach Doc Rivers in the limited series about “the collision between a dysfunctional basketball organization and even less functional marriage, and the precipitating tape’s impact on an ensemble of characters striving to win against the backdrop of the most cursed team in the league.”
Clipped’s six-episode series will conclude in July, but its penultimate episode airs in June. The limited series also stars Ed O’Neill, Cleopatra Coleman, Jacki Weaver, J. Alphonse Nicholson, Kelly AuCoin, Rich Sommers, Corbin Bernsen, Clifton Davis, and Harriet Sansom Harris.
Gina Welch is creator, showrunner, and executive producer. Clipped’s executive producers also include Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson, Zanne Devine, Ramona Shelburne and Kevin Bray, who directed three of the six episodes.
