Being an assistant to a Hollywood star isn’t easy. We’ve all learned that if you watched A Family Affair and actually paid attention (versus rolled your eyes every five seconds). But the thing is, that is a movie and well, we need to not pay attention to all of that.
Not everyone in Hollywood is like that character. The reality is that a lot of actors are really great to work for, and well, it sounds like Joey King is one of them. Her assistant on the set of the Hulu limited series We Were The Lucky Ones, went above and beyond her job description to help Joey out in a very special way.
King was talking with Entertainment Weekly and when asked for an example of an assistant going above and beyond, she knew immediately who she was going to talk about.
“Oh my God, shout out to Eva, Eva in Romania,” Joey said “Hi, Eva! Eva was my assistant when I was filming this show called We Were the Lucky Ones. I adopted my dog Fable in Romania and I had to get her back to the U.S., and Eva — this is, like, so beyond the description of what her job was — helped me with all the paperwork, getting everything sorted.”
“It was a huge job, and she took care of everything,” she continued. “So I’m able to have my dog with me in the States now because Eva worked so hard to make that happen. So thank you, Eva; I love you.”
What a great thing for an assistant to do! That’s definitely had to have been something that changed Joey and her families life. A dog is a part of their family and one that is so important. Our hats go off to Eva.
“It was a lot of work,” Joey added. “She was Superwoman, really… I was like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe she did that. That’s amazing.’”
We think it’s amazing too.
