We watch a lot of TV and movies! And we listen to a lot of music, podcasts, audiobooks…so yeah, we’re fangirling over a lot of things! Each week we come together to highlight all the feels they give us throughout the week. On these Fangirlish Feels of the Week, there are five categories and many thoughts! Ready?
Here we go!
What You’re Fangirling Over This Week

Raquel: The last episode of House of the Dragon! I watched Game of Thrones for episodes like this one and now I’m hooked on HOTD for the same reason. And Rhaenys is a QUEEN. Period.
Rachel: This week was great for me as a movie superfan. We got trailers for Gladiator 2 and Captain America: Brave New World. The sequel to Ridley Scott’s Best Picture Oscar winner is coming this year, 25 years after the first, and the cast and visuals look amazing. And I can’t wait to see Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson get his own Cap movie.
Shana: As always, it’s difficult to pick just one aspect of this week’s episode of Evil that I love the best, so I’ll just say I’m fangirling over the entirety of “How to Save a Life.” So, hey…wouldn’t it be nice if someone decided to save Evil (and shut me up)?
Jasmine: I’m currently in concert Heaven right now so I’m fangirling over PVRIS and Lynn Gunn. Caught her San Diego show and then LA. So worth it. She and her band are GREAT performers. I will always show up for them!
Amanda W.: I would simply like to thank Ralph Lauren for styling Jonah Hauer-King in a stunning striped ensemble at Wimbledon, because he looks so good in it. I think I need to rewatch The Little Mermaid now…
Ashley W.: This Captain America superfan is very happy and excited to finally have a trailer for Captain America: Brave New World! I’m especially excited the movie will give us Sam and Joaquin teaming more up and fighting alongside each other — the thought alone of them both getting to fight in flight is awesome. The teaser poster for it is also ridiculously cool. Major shoutout to whoever came up with the concept for it.
Interior Chinatown also has a release date now, which is great! It’ll be nice to see Chloe Bennet in a show again, especially considering she has so much love for the project.
Ashley T.: I’m still fangirling over Star Trek: Prodigy season 2 and will be for the foreseeable future. Sorry not sorry.
WTF Moment of the Week

Raquel: Sam Heughan breaking onto the STARZ’s panel at TCA to present the new goodies about Outlander and its prequel Outlander: Blood of my Blood. Best surprise ever!
Shana: I mean this as a compliment (and went into more detail here), but the Criminal Minds: Evolution “Piranha” case was the highest level of WTF in a while. And that’s saying something, considering Sicarius, Gold Star, North Star…and the 15 seasons on CBS.
Lyra: Exploding Kittens sees Tom Ellis, famously known as Lucifer, playing God and it’s the most delightfully weird thing I’ve seen in ages. And since I don’t want to give away because it just came out on Netflix, trust me when I say that some of his lines are absolutely cutting and hilarious. It’s Tom Ellis like you’ve never heard him before.
Ashley W.: The Dance Moms reboot news really had me going “WTF?!” Because even though I watched the original one, I do not want the show to have another life. Even if things are handled better to protect the children involved, it’s reality TV. It’s way too easy for them to be harmed. So let’s just hope no one ends up being scarred for life because of this show.
What We’re Listening to This Week

Raquel: I heard the latest song from Katy Perry…I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. I don’t even know if the official video was intended to be a tribute or a parody.
Jasmine: Because my PVRIS concerts were this week I’ve had PVRIS, Sizzy Rocket, and Pale Waves on repeat. Sizzy Rocket and Pale Waves are new to me and bad ass. They’ve all got new fans in me.
Lyra: I finally dipped my toes into the songs of the summer by Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter…and they’re infinitely more catchy than I thought they would be. “Good Luck, Babe!” by Chappell Roan is quickly being overtaken by “HOT TO GO!” as my favorite. And I have finally discovered that the multiple videos that are going viral on TikTok use Sabrina Carpenter’s music. But the real star of the summer that I didn’t mention in the beginning, well that would be Tinashe with Tinashe’s “Nasty.”
Amanda W.: While I do still have “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” by Sabrina Carpenter on repeat, I’ve also added a few JoJo (the OG, Joanna Levesque — not the one from Dance Moms) songs to my go-to Playlist to celebrate her return to Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway later this month. My favorites have been the same since I was like 10: “Leave (Get Out),” “Too Little Too Late” and “Baby It’s You.” Unfortunately for me, I will likely be missing her Satine again.
Ashley W.: My still-sad-about-The-Heart-of-Rock-and-Roll-closing-on-Broadway self continues to listen to the show’s cast recording on a daily basis. Among others, that is. But The Heart of Rock and Roll needs more love than the other Broadway cast albums I’ve been listening to.
Ashley T.: It was a very vinyl week this week, digging through my soundtrack collection. Notably, I listened to the scores from Dune (1984) and Dune: Part I (2021) while playing the Dune Imperium board game. It was great fun.
What We Rewatched This Week

Raquel: I just discovered Found and I’m rushing to finish the first season as soon as possible! Why didn’t I discover this gem sooner?
Rachel: Since Twisters is coming out next week, I rewatched the original Twister and I am happy to report it is still a thrilling disaster film. It’s sad that we’ve lost two cast members from the film but I am eager to watch the new film and check out an entirely new story.
Jasmine: The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. The David Fincher one with Rooney Mara as Lisbeth. It’s a dark film and book for sure but it’s a favorite and a well done book to screen adaptation.
Amanda W.: After a week or two off because of being of work and being out of town, I’ve resumed my One Tree Hill rewatch. I just finished season five, and we are entering probably the most soap opera era of the show. How did I not realize how dramatic and absurd these storylines were?
Ashley W.: My Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 7 anniversary rewatch continued with episode 7×07: “The Totally Excellent Adventures of Mack and the D.” It reminds me of those good ol’ filler episodes TV shows gave us back in the day when seasons had 20‐plus episodes. But what’s so great about this episode is that, by the end of the season/show, you realize just how important the episode was in the grand scheme of things despite it feeling like a silly episode.
Ashley T.: While it’s largely been a Star Trek: Prodigy week this week, Mr. Nerdy Blogger and I have been rewatching Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It knew exactly what it was from the first season on, and is hilarious from start to finish. Well done, Nine-Nine!
Badass Character of the Week

Miah: Rhaenys Targaryen from House of the Dragon. Not only did she fight for a queen on the throne because she never was, but she also nearly burnt Criston Cole to a crisp. Her entire battle sequence was one of determination, bravery and loyalty, and honestly, she was probably my favourite character in the show. Farewell, Rhaenys, thanks for tipping the scales in House Black’s favor.
Rachel: I think Lucy and Jules on the new Orphan Black: Echoes qualifies for this. Especially now that they have finally joined forces.
Shana: What if I just said all the women on both of my current shows? Because seriously.
Jasmine: I second what Miah said. It’s definitely Rhaenys Targaryen for me. That woman did the damn thing!
Ashley T.: It’s still Admiral Janeway in Star Trek: Prodigy for me. She’s the real deal, and someone I admire deeply.
