We’re on day 2 of talking about all the things that we’ve learned from D23, because hey, we’re embracing our inner child and living there. After all being a grown up is a scam – it’s a trap. You should not fall into it.
What being an adult does do is allows you to buy tickets and go to D23 Expo so you can get all of the goodness up close and personal.
One thing to come out of D23 Expo is more information about the live action Lilo & Stitch. The teaser is just too good. While we got no humans in the teaser, we’re definitely okay to settle for the CGI Stitch.
“Experiment 626 has entered the chat! The live-action #LiloAndStitch is coming only to theaters in Summer 2025!” the caption reads.
Newcomer Maia Kealoha will be playing Lilo. If you remember in the animated movie, Lilo is the lonely girl who forms a bind with Stitch, who was developed as a weapon of destruction.
Kealoha isn’t the only newcomer, Kahiau Machado, will portray David Kawena. Sydney Elizebeth Agudong will portray Lilo’s older sister, Nani. Zach Galifianakis and Billy Magnussen also star.
Dean Fleischer Camp directs the film, and while we don’t have a related date, we know it will be 2025.
We’re excited. Are you?
