Since the news dropped yesterday, it’s been a lot of mixed reactions to the reboot of One Tree Hill. While we respect peoples opinions and feel that everyone has a right to their opinion — we are excited.
Very excited.
One Tree Hill defined a part of our lives. The show changed us and made us part of who we are. The news was exciting and we’re not ashamed to say that there were tears.
What could make us even happier about the reboot? Well that would be that Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton both posted about it. The two posted the same picture with One Tree Hill costars Bevin Prince and Danneel Ackles.
“What if you really can go back home? If there’s an opportunity to team with brilliant creatives and build a space where all our friends can show off their talents? Own our history? Reclaim our turf? Honor our fans? Sign us up.” Bush started her Instagram post.
She then continued, “There’s only one Tree Hill, after all. And you — the #OTHfam — have shown us that it’s not just an idea. It really is the place where “everything’s better and everything’s safe.”
Burton started her post with, “What if you really can go back home?”
Eight words that seem simple, but they are complex. They brought tears to our eyes as we’re ready to head back to Tree Hill. We just never thought that we would get there.
She then continued, “If there’s an opportunity to team with brilliant creatives and build a space where all our friends can show off their talents? Own our history? Reclaim our turf? Honor our fans? Sign us up.”

We couldn’t be more excited.
If you aren’t familiar with the original series – first let us say that you need to do yourself a favor and watch it immediately. Second, it focused on two half brothers, Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan (James Lafferty) and the way that they navigated their lives through highschool and beyond. It’s a coming of age story that helped everyone who watched it navigate their lives.
The show was anchored by the supporting cast, Burton, Bush, Bethany Joy Lenz, Austin Nichols, Jana Kramer, Stephen Colletti, Antwon Tanner and Paul Johansson.
The chances of One Tree Hill coming back means everything to its fans. This one included.
