In Doctor Odyssey episode 1, Doctor Max Bankman’s introduction to his new job working on the luxury cruise ship was interesting. It was filled with many patients with unpredictable medical problems, a little bit of romance between him and Nurse Practitioner Avery, and, of course, a not-so-friendly rivalry between him and Nurse Tristan. In Doctor Odyssey Season 1, Episode 2 ‘Singles Week’ is upon him and the rest of the team. Sounds totally innocuous, right? Based on the episode synopsis and preview pictures, we’re not so sure.
If it’s singles week, that is bound to create drama for Avery, Tristan, and Max. In Doctor Odyssey episode 1, Tristan made it clear to Max that he has feelings for Avery. Unfortunately for him, Avery doesn’t see him that way. Then there is the matter of that make-out session between Avery and Max that Tristan witnessed. Max and Avery agreed that it would not happen again, but we all know it will happen again. And again. Especially if they’re watching other singles mingle. It can also lead to some drama with a capital “D.”
That drama won’t just translate to relationships. It can also affect how the team works together when trying to do their jobs to deliver the best care possible to the passengers. Doctor Odyssey episode 1 taught us that Tristan has no problem showing that he has issues with Max. The question is, will Avery catch on, and if she does, what will she do? Hopefully, it doesn’t get too messy because Captain Massey does not have time for any of that. But, we wonder if he will make time for some Romance of his own in guest star Shania Twain, who is in the photos. We’re curious about their connection and can’t wait to watch it unfold when the episode airs.
