Okay Hallmark, we see you and we love you. We know that you are going to give us so much goodness. With Hallmark+ we know that we’re going to get even more.
Frankie Faison (who will be playing Walter), Julia Chan (who will be playing Kris), Ian Harding (who will be playing Nate) and Sydney Agudong (who will be playing Aria) are set to headline Ripple, Hallmark+‘s upcoming television show.
In the dictionary, a ripple is defined as, “a small wave or series of waves on the surface of water, especially as caused by an object dropping into it or a slight breeze.” So if you’re like us, you’re reading too literally into this and thinking that it’s a show about water. You would be wrong.
Lionsgate says that the show is, “Ripple explores how unexpectedly connected we are as human beings. Set in New York City, Nate, Kris, Walter and Aria have crossed paths hundreds of times, yet they’ve never met. Because of the seemingly minuscule decisions these core four make in the pilot, we’ll witness the ripple effect of how these strangers, all dealing with life’s challenges in their own way, are led to one another.”
“Walter, Kris, Nate and Aria are the heart of Ripple and it was essential that we get it right in casting those roles,” said Kelly Garrett, VP Programming at Hallmark Media said in a statement. “Frankie, Julia, Ian and Sydney are magic as our core four. We cannot wait for them to guide viewers through this romantic look at life and humanity in New York City.”
Hallmark+ says that, “the message of this show is: just wait for the rainbow. Some of the best things in life can’t happen without the storm. Ripple amplifies a message of hope and reassurance that no matter what challenges come your way, we are never alone.”
We can’t wait for this one.
