I have to admit that as much as I love this show, sometimes I get so frustrated by it. The reason that I get so frustrated is because I am impatient. I want to know what is going to happen and I want to know it now. That’s not a bad thing. It’s a good thing that this show is so interesting and intriguing that I can’t stop watching it.
Damnit Found. I am hooked.
This week’s episode had so much to give us and it wasn’t only about Lacey. My heart instantly broke when we found out that it was about a baby being missed. Anyone who kidnaps anyone is the scum of the earth and I was instantly infuriated by a few things. The woman who gave birth was a person of color and was taken for granted by the healthcare system. Well, it was all of the things that happened after that because of the doctor’s stupidity that made me want to scream.
But it was also confusing because I found myself thinking Margaret is redeemable and isn’t so bad. I was also mad at Trent and Gabi for the way that they were acting. Mad that I couldn’t see the shocking twist coming – SIRS BROTHER. I about fell over.
There is just so much going on. And damn, it was 45 minutes of really great television. But then again, when isn’t Found amazing?

LACEY
The thing that I have come to understand is that Lacey has really overcome a lot and we all don’t give her enough credit. We see more flashbacks from when she was a child and Sir straight-up tormented her. Like he was there every time she turned around, even when she was supposed to feel safe in her own home.
The man made her know that she could never feel safe because he was always going to be there to make sure that she knew that she was in danger.
We see that Lacey wouldn’t speak as a child and I have to feel for her. I feel for her because no one could understand and she couldn’t articulate that fear. The only person that she felt safe with was Gabi and that was because (IMO) she knew that Gabi could and would protect her. It actually made me feel for her Mom because she would do anything to protect her child.
Lacey being kidnapped wasn’t her fault.
Just like Lacey being taken again, I don’t think that was Gabi’s fault. I mean sure, she should have never taken Sir and she should have known that he would retaliate. But what I do admire about Lacey is that she’s got this undying strength. She refuses to let Sir be the person that destroys her.
Lacey is a fighter and she’s going to do anything for her freedom. I admire her thinking about every means of escape and not being afraid to take on Sir. She knows that there is a chance that he will catch her. She knows there is always a chance he will kill her.
But she knows that she will be his victim no more.
THE BABY
The team gets a case while they are concentrating on finding Lacey. I don’t think that they would have taken it, but it’s a baby. And if they would have turned their backs on a baby, we’d be throwing hands.
I don’t for the life of me understand how anyone could kidnap a baby and put it in harm’s way. IT IS A BABY. But when the family was in front of the hospital someone ran up and snatched it from the mother’s hands.
The baby inherited a genetic disease and if they don’t find the baby soon, chances are that baby will die. I felt sick watching it, but even more sick when we found out that it was her sister who kidnapped her. I mean, I felt sick and I felt heartbroken.
It’s crazy to me how this hospital took what was happening for granted and did not even think about this family and the kids involved. We need to do something to change the way that healthcare professionals treat people of color. This woman was bleeding out, stitches torn and the hospital didn’t think twice. She kept telling them that something was wrong and no one was listening.

And then, when we found out who was behind the kidnapping – her older daughter – I wanted to cry. She tried to kill herself because she had kidnapped her sister. I was SHOCKED. She kidnapped her sister because she didn’t understand why she was not enough for her Mom. I am not trying to be mean, but I feel like the parents missed something with their kid that she felt so threatened by the presence of a sibling.
It also broke my heart. Because no one should feel this way. Ever. I hope that girl gets the help that she needs because she does need some help and it breaks my heart for her that she doesn’t have it.
MARGARET IS MARGARETING
I hate that this season I have started to hate Margaret. But I also hate how unfair it is of me to hate Margaret. She’s betrayed and I do get that. She feels let down. I get that. She is upset. I get that.
But like calm down Margaret. This is about more than you.
I think that Gabi and Margaret are a little the same. In the same way that Margaret has to go to the bus station every night, Gabi feels this urge to get information from Sir. The difference is that Margaret was open about it.
Gabi hadn’t been open at all until she had to be. So I do understand why it is that Margaret is mad.
But I also am mad at Gabi that she put Margaret in charge of this press conference when she wasn’t ready. She didn’t know how to react to all of the questions about Lacey, Gabi, and Sir. And her meltdown wasn’t what either case needed.
Why would Gabi put her in that situation, when she can’t handle that? I don’t get it. Gabi isn’t being the most responsible person. I get that her want is to protect her sister, but she’s also got to protect her business and her chosen family.
I feel like both of them need to move past the past and say okay this is what we have to do right now.
So I understand that Margaret is mad. I understand that she’s hurting. I understand what she’s feeling.
But she doesn’t have to Margaret so hard.

CHRISTIAN EVANS
When Gabi is at the police station, Trent doesn’t want anything to do with her. I get their exchange of words and why he’s mad. He liked Gabi and I believe he still does. BUT he’s mad, because the person that he loved, the woman he treasured, turned out to be a lie. Everything that she did and said was a lie.
Not to mention that she committed a crime and he’s torn about bringing her in.
While I don’t think any of us will ever be able to understand the things that Gabi has done, we’ll also never be able to understand what she has gone through. But I can’t even imagine what she feels when Trent walks away and she runs right into Christian Evans.
That is Sirs brother.
I can’t even imagine being Gabi and seeing someone who looks like the man that has destroyed your life. Christian is being investigated because of his brother taking Lacey, which if that’s the case, why did they let him talk to Gabi? I get it – for the drama.
Christian does end up helping though, so I will look past him for a second being Sir’s brother. When he pushes his way into M&A he recognizes an area that is on a map on the wall. It’s the area that Hugh used to live in with his Mama before Christian was born.
SIR IS A HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING
We all knew that Sir was the worst. There is nothing about him that is redeemable. We knew that he was obsessed with Gabi. We know that he thinks that Lacey has no worth. But we all know that she does.
When Gabi tried to call out Sir, he showed up and sat behind her. She sat frozen and afraid.
And I don’t think anyone can blame her for that. I would have frozen and probably peed my pants. But Sir knows that he paralyzes Gabi, the same way he does Lacey. He knows that he is in control, even if Gabi thinks she is – for even a second.
It is when Sir sees his brother on the screen at the press conference, he flips out. He flips out because he’ll get caught because Christian knows where he will be.
It’s at that point Lacey tries to make a run for it, but Sir slams her head into the counter. I swear if Lacey if something is wrong with her, I am rioting.
OTHER THOUGHTS
- Sir makes me grossed out
- The arguments that everyone keeps having makes me frustrated because I am like if you all would stop maybe you’d see that you all need each other
- Dhan is my hero
- I am so upset that they missed Lacey, but the look that Trent gives Gabi gives me hope for them
Found airs on Thursdays on NBC.
Looks like Im’m in the minority, but I just can’t get into this show…tried twice now – even the music!
