9-1-1 Season 8, Episode 4 ‘No Place Like Home’ is, in many ways, the beginning of the season. Not really, because the show loves to give us a big emergency to start with, but it is truly the first episode that will be tasked mainly with dealing with the things Season 7 set up. Big emergencies make everyone and everything stop. Now that’s over and done with, well …it’s time to tackle the smaller emergencies going on with the characters. You know, the ones happening inside.
And in a way, we couldn’t be more excited. We’ll never say no to Angela Bassett landing a plane or Peter Krause standing in front of the plane with total certainty that his wife is going to do the thing, but we want to get this season’s storyline moving! Gerrard, for example? Can we get rid of him? Please and thank you.
Then there’s Christopher and honestly, we didn’t want him anywhere near the opening season emergency, but can we now get our boy back home? It’s already been too long without him! Also, mustache. That needs to be handled. And we haven’t even discussed Brad. What is Brad going to do? I’m high-key concerned.
Here’s to the rest of the season. May it give us answers …and growth.
