Dune: Prophecy released the official trailer for their upcoming entry into Frank Herbert’s epic work at New York Comic Con 2024. Starring Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Sarah-Sofie Boussina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, and Jessica Barden, it sees the establishment of the famed Bene Gesserit.
The six-episode season follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind. It’s inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. That book is part of a trilogy and sees the establishment of the first Emperor of the new Imperium, war heroes, revenge, and the teaching of humans to become Mentats aka a profession that acts as the replacement to computers.
In the Dune: Prophecy official trailer, we get to see how deadly the women of this world truly are, especially those of the Bene Gesserit order. Their demeanor and look hides how highly trained they are and how they move the needle across all corners of the universe. Standing in their way Desmond Hart, a mysterious but charming man who gains the trust of the Emperor. Considering how 10,000 years later they’re still around at the ascension of Paul Atreides, Desmond didn’t get what he wanted.
