NCIS Season 22, Episode 2 ‘Foreign Bodies’ is about bringing the team back together. Sure, there’s a case and there are likely to be some on-screen reunions we’ll be waiting for (even if they’re not getting into any deep stuff, give us a Jessica and Jimmy moment, please), but what matters is that the NCIS Major Case Response Team is together again.
That’s enough, really. It doesn’t have to be much deeper, not every episode. Of course, it can’t be just a fun case without any depth every week. However, sometimes we need an episode that looks like good, old-fashioned fun with a group of people we like and who seem to like each other. And hey, this show is very good at sometimes throwing you a curveball and making an hour more poignant than we had a right to expect, so let’s not rule that out.
For now, though, we can enjoy the idea of Parker actually leading his team (and getting to bring pastries to someone!), Jessica and Jimmy in the same building and Mcgee, Torres, and Knight out on the field together again. It’s the little things that make us happy.
