Shailene Woodley has been everywhere lately and we’re definitely not mad about it. We love a lot of her projects and so seeing her in the news means that there is the possibility of her in something new.
Speaking of something new, she’s been rumored to be starring in the Janice Joplin biopic. While we can see it, we’re reserving all judgement because you just never know. We’ve said time and time again, we’d never make a good casting director.
Shailene was recently on The Tonight Show and talked about the project (which has been in the works for over 7 years). She talked about how Linda Perry has been helping her prepare.
“I was like, ‘I can’t sing like Janis.’ And she put me in a lot of uncomfortable situations where she’s like, ‘Alright show up here. Show up here on this date,’” she said when talking to Jimmy Fallon.
Now, most of us would be like ya, no. Not showing up in a random place. But Woodley did and when she got there she found a, “massive empty warehouse with a full band.”
Linda had told her to, “Have fun. Sing some songs.”
