We’re past the halfway point of LAID and it’s definitely got everything starting to speed up and a lot of changes happening. No complaints here – because we’re all for change and all for growth. We know that secrets have to rise to the top and in this episode – that is definitely happening.
Ruby and AJ are trying to figure out why Richie survived. Now, AJ admits that she didn’t make sure it was the right Richie Diane (yes, his last name is Diane) that had died, so that’s on her. However, it still doesn’t make sense that he’s alive, because people after him have died.
Ruby is still on the quest to tell everyone she needs to that people who she slept with – that they are dying. She’s going to have to tell the latest on her own, because AJ has to go to work. Work is important after all. Gotta make that money.

That, though, means that Ruby is going to have to do things on her own. Well that is until she runs into Richie – who in the midst of the possibility of him dying bought a bike. Now, he can’t figure out how to turn it on or off, so that thing just keeps running. But it does mean that he can go with her when she has to tell a one night stand about the fact that he’s going to die.
Richie has grown on me. He’s grown on me, because he did the impossible and got Ruby to go in to see her therapist in person. He’s going to play this up to the best of his ability – which is sad, but you can’t blame a man for trying.
At least we can’t blame Richie.
Richie is always going to shoot his shot, and he makes a case for Ruby and him to use each other for sex, since he seems to be exempt from dying.
Ruby really likes Isaac and I think that we need to respect that about her. She likes him and she’s not going to do anything about it because he has a girlfriend and also she doesn’t want to cause his death – if it would cause it.

Her therapist suggested that she keep it professional and to do that she’s got to put up a wall between her and Isaac. He decided to keep it professional too. Probably because his girlfriend is satan and he’s trying to make her happy when he should be kicking her out the door. Like kick her far out the door. She’s so wrong for him.
You don’t choose the ship, the ship chooses you. Ruby and Isaac have chosen me.
Ruby and him both see that they can’t hide their feelings, because they each have A LOT of them. They are standing in for his parents and reading his parents vows and the tension between the two right there was palpable.
I would not be surprised if these two end up together. Maybe having sex with someone that you have actual feelings for will keep them alive? I am not sure, but I am trying to figure this out. Maybe, I am like AJ and trying to figure out all of the reasons that this could happen.
I don’t think that anything is wrong with Ruby’s body count. I also don’t think that anything is wrong with one night stands. I want to make that clear because it may sound like I am saying that. Nope. I am just trying to figure out why they are dying.
And don’t you know that I am not the only one. The detective that she had tried to get to listen to her shows up to take her in and ask questions. People are on him to find out how John Early died, because he’s a celebrity. Taking Ruby to the police station – it’s cute that she doesn’t realize that she’s a suspect.
Ruby’s interrogation made me laugh. She’s wanting to help them figure out what happened and to hopefully make it all stop. Once she realizes that she’s a suspect, she goes off – in a totally Ruby way.

This day is not going well for Ruby. In the midst of everything going on – Zach had found the board at her apartment. He’s freaking out because of the whole death aspect. Nothing is calming him down, even Ruby saying that she’s working on it.
Watching this, we all knew that there would be a point that the truth came out. And boy, did the truth come out.
Zach decides that he’s going to confess what happened with Ruby to his online friends and tell them about the board. This information goes viral. Zach is pleased that he’s getting followers, but he’s freaked out about the whole dying thing.
On her way home – Isaac is waiting and as cliche as it sounds, he’s confessing his feelings in the rain. He feels something for Ruby and has broken up with his girlfriend – who told him about all the things that were said online – and he doesn’t believe them. He wants to be with Ruby.
I loved how they turned this moment with the two of them into some cheesy trope of kissing in the rain – but I couldn’t imagine it any other way. She tells him that she can’t be with him, but he takes that as her not being ready and says he will wait.

Ruby is on cloud nine (as we all would be), but here’s the thing, when you’re on a cloud, you’re definitely going to need to come back down to reality. No one likes to do that, but it’s what happens in life.
As soon as she walks through the door to her apartment – reality is going to slap her. Zach and AJ on the couch, looking like they are in deep conversation and hurting. They both turn to look at Ruby and AJ says, “You f***ed Zach.”
My jaw dropped to the floor. Everything is about to change and Ruby is going to be confronted with the secrets that she’s keeping.
This definitely wasn’t a good day for Ruby. That cloud burst really quickly.
