9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5, Episode 10 “All Who Wander” finally returned this week from its winter hiatus and didn’t waste any time jumping back in. “All Who Wander” was a deep, and somewhat dark, episode focusing on Judd’s alcoholism and why he’s drinking so much. But there were also amazing things that happened this week, including one of our favorites finally finding happiness. We review.

Marjan’s parents came to town in “All Who Wander”, and they met Joe. At first, her parents seemed to question everything that Marjan and Joe want for their future. An apartment instead of a house? 4 kids? Joe staying home with the kids while Marjan still works? At first, Marjan didn’t want to move forward with anything until she had her parents blessing, but she really loves Joe. And Joe didn’t want to wait anymore to start their lives together. He wants to wake up next to her every morning. Awww.
We’re so proud of Marjan for standing up to her parents and telling them what she wants. Plus, her parents were on board after they knew she was sure about everything. So, Marjan and Joe got married. Was it fast? Yes. But she wanted to get married while her parents were in town, and she knew the 126 would help. Everything was perfect. Her dress, the music (Kiss Me? Seriously. Amazing choice), letting her hair down after her wedding. We can’t stop thinking about how amazing it was. You can definitely tell Joe is so in love with Marjan, and we couldn’t be happier for her.
Answered Prayers?

Our hearts are breaking for Judd. In the beginning of “All Who Wander”, it seemed like he was getting his life back. He was going to AA meetings, and he said he had 28 days sober. But, he had been drinking the entire time. So, to sum up: he’s lying, he’s drinking, and he’s depressed. That’s a deadly combination. And we’re not so sure he wasn’t trying to harm himself when he ran into that fire. Luckily, Owen shares all of our concerns.
Judd’s drinking started because Grace left. And now his daughter isn’t living with him either. He’s lonely, especially at night. A lot of alcoholics, and people dealing with depression, have said that nights are often the hardest. That’s when they feel the loneliest and want to drink. It seems that’s the pattern with Judd.
At the end of the “All Who Wander,” Judd decides not to drink because Grace answers his message and wants to talk. He said that Grace was an answer to his prayer. But what would have happened if she hadn’t texted him? What happens next time? He can’t rely on Grace to always be there for him. He needs to learn coping mechanisms to help him stay sober on his own. Keep praying if that helps, which it seems to. But also, keep going to AA meetings and talking to people that are there, like Owen. Those things are going to help him stay sober and quit drinking.

Other Thoughts:
- We’ve said some not-so-nice things about Owen over the years (and, to be fair, most of them were true), but he is a good friend to Judd. He is doing everything he can to help Judd stop drinking.
- It was brief, but we did not miss TK looking at beds for his baby brother. We can’t wait to see TK and Carlos be parents to this kid.
- Tommy didn’t have much screen time in this episode, but it seems like she’s handling chemo the best that she can. And we’re glad that she has a support system. It was nice to see Nancy and Marjan helping and spending time with her. We love seeing women supporting women.
- We’re so close to the series finale, and we have mixed feelings. We want to see how it will end, but we’re going to miss these characters.
