We waited for quite some time for the second season of The Recruit and now that it is here, we would like to put in a protest if Netflix plans on making us wait that long for another season.
It doesn’t help that Netflix has not yet said that we’d get a third season of the show. We have so many questions that need to be answered. We’ve narrowed down our top 20 to six.
Six questions that could potentially answer the rest of the questions that we have.

WHAT HAPPENED TO MAX?
This second season of The Recruit picked up basically where we left off – kinda. But, what it doesn’t show us is if Max is dead or alive. Where we can see that the implication is that Max was shot and killed by her daughter, Nichka. We have nothing that tells us that Max is really dead and gone. For all we know Max was picked up by the team and turned into a supermax prison never to be seen again. Is she dead? Is she alive? The world may never know.

WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO JANG & HIS WIFE
Jang definitely added something to the show and we love what he brought. That being said, it was the onscreen chemistry between the characters of Jang and Owen was a lot of fun. Both are intent on doing their job and to the best of their ability. The two also do it with heart and empathy.
Now that Jang and his wife are free and under US protection (or so it seems) we want to know if that connection is going to have Jang working for the agency. What role will his wife have in this?

HOW DID THE US NAVY KNOW TO MAKE THEIR PRESENCE KNOWN?
We have so many questions. We loved seeing that submarine pop up, but how did they know to be there? How did they know who they were rescuing? We’re pretty sure that the submarine can sense when someone is in the waters they are monitoring.
However, there are a million possibilities here. Chances are that someone at the agency contacted the navy to have their people picked up. While we know that the chances of a submarine making itself known right outside of Russia isn’t a possibility, it was a fun addition.
We just need to know who called them… for science.

WHAT EXACTLY IS THE CIA GOING TO DO TO PIN EVERYTHING ON OWEN?
We know that Janus was set free because the CIA told the NIS that everything was going to be pinned on Owen. Now, we know that for some reason, Violet HATES Owen and is always trying to pin everything on him. She has been trying to make him the fall guy for what seems like forever.
In making the deal with Grace for Janus’ release, what did she agree to pin on Owen? Will that deal stick now that we know that Owen is alive?

WILL THERE BE A LOVE TRIANGLE WITH HANNAH, YOO, & OWEN
It seems as though Hannah and Owen’s friendship is over, but we are hoping that it isn’t over.
It’s really weird when you see such a strong connection between one character and two different people at the same time. We’d be remiss to say that we’d be happy with Owen with either one of them. However, we still don’t know who would be the best for him.
Yoo is his first love and Hannah is his latest. The difference between them is strong, but we also think that both offer Owen something that he needs. Ultimately though, Owen pulls neither one into his life, at least not until he gets his life together. He realized in this season that he pulls others in and we do believe that is because he needs to feel loved.
Owen needs to feel seen past the parts of him that he doesn’t think are worth loving. He needs to feel loved, but I don’t think for a second he’d want a love triangle over him.

IS OWEN NOW A CIA OPERATIVE OR STILL JUST A LAWYER?
There is a lot that you can say about Owen Hendricks, but the fact remains (and by fact, we mean our opinion) that he could be a CIA operative. Yes, he’s a lawyer and he should be sitting in a room giving advice and going home. Yet, the man is out all of the time acting as an operative.
The Ops team may not appreciate that, but we would like to know what his job is. We do not think that he is just going to be the agency’s lawyer now. Part of that stems from the ending where it seems as though he turned Jang.
The ending was left pretty open so that as we ask ourselves these questions, we have time to jump to conclusions and try to figure out what the ending truly meant.
