Found Season 2, Episode 13 had a lot going in the confines of thirty minutes. It was things that we needed for the show to stay true to itself, but also things that we needed to pick up on. Moments that we have seen grow and moments that we’d rather forget.
Forgive my brain, because it is definitely overwhelmed with all the information that Found served us with. Not saying that is a bad thing. Quite the opposite really. You see, when a show entertains, causes us to ask ourselves questions, and also intrigues us.
I think that’s what Found does so well.
While I believe that Found Season 2, Episode 13 felt different, I am not saying that is a bad thing. Found managed to lean into all of its characters – except Trent. That’s something I haven’t felt they have strongly done in every episode. I would settle for at least one character developing every episode.
But in this episode, we were set up to believe in the M&A again. We were given the chance to see that every single one of these characters is fighting a battle and sometimes it’s something that we can’t see.
But sometimes it is something that we don’t want to see and hey, maybe they don’t either.
What I do know about M&A is that they are family. So the issues that surround one, surround all. Now, do I trust all of the characters on this show? No. I do not. What I do know is that whatever happens, it’s going to keep me on the edge of my seat.

WHO TOOK JAMIE?
There is no secret that Jamie won’t answer any questions, but he keeps making it worse because of that. I am not understanding why he doesn’t want to say who took him or where he’s been. It’s as if he’s got Stockholm Syndrome.
We were able to distinguish at the end of the last episode that Margaret has to know the person who took Jamie because of the train that Jamie had. The one that had been in his room, but that had disappeared. She’s making a list of people that she remembers being around.
The truth for Margaret is that she’s not ready to hear anything against Jamie, but she knows that Jamie isn’t perfect.
When Jamie comes to M&A to look for his train, he notices that he’s alone and starts looking everywhere. Finding that train is important to Jamie. It’s also important for Margaret to know who took it. She won’t be able to get past someone that she knew taking Jamie.
And I can’t blame her for that.
Jamie takes his time alone in the office as a chance to break into Gabi’s desk. And he does, but Dhan shows up just as he starts looking. Dhan is suspicious and no one can blame him for that. Jamie is up to something and whatever he’s trying to discover, I need to know.
I am not sure as to why it is that Dhan all of the sudden is willing to go toe to toe over everything, but I am glad he is. I feel like if we’re not asking, Jamie isn’t going to be telling. He needs to be pushed.
And yes, I get it – I get that Jamie’s going through his own thing. I also know that I don’t trust whatever that is, and I don’t believe that anything is the way he describes it to be.

THE 9-1-1 CALL
Family movie night at Zeke’s seems like a good time. It seems like something that any one of us would want to attend. However, family movie night takes a turn when Zeke’s friend calls and asks him for help. She’s a. 9-1-1 operator and got a call that everyone thought was a pocket dial, but she knows that she heard a voice. It was more than a pocket dial.
The way that Zeke smiles and sounds flirty with the girl on the phone, you can see that Lacey is jealous. I happen to love that because I do love their relationship. Lacey feels safe with Zeke, and you can tell she feels at home with Zeke. If I was Lacey, I would be so jealous and I wouldn’t be able to hide it either.
I wish that I had Zeke’s abilities as a hacker. The way he knows computers and programming is amazing. He’s able to isolate sound, hearing a girl say help me.
You can see that Zeke is visibly shaken by the call and knows that he needs to help this girl out. Movie night is a no-go as instead, the team is calling everyone that Zeke’s algorithm brought up that it may be. The one person that they can’t get ahold of, they decide must be it.
Sometimes I wish that Zeke was able to go outside, but I really get why he can’t. It’s a lot for him – but I think one day he’ll be able to. He’s so good at solving cases, but he has to want more connection. Yes, just inserting random thoughts about Zeke in Found Season 2, Episode 13. Forgive me.
Lacey and Dhan go to a club to see if they can find the girl, leaving Zeke to look into everything from home and catch the entire team up on what is going on.

GABI AND TRENT
Thank you writing Gods that we didn’t have to deal with the blonde lawyer who is shady. But, I have to wonder at what point are Gabi and Trent really going to sit and talk about all of the things that have happened between the two of them. The two of them seem to have moved forward and yet, I feel like they have so much to work through.
I do love that the DCPD and M&A are working hand in hand, but it also feels like we jumped over things.
Gabi and Trent are working together to try and figure out who is missing and why. The whole team seems to have found comfort in working together. We’ve deduced that Zuri is the person that is missing and no one knows why. Her roommates tell Trent and Gabi that she really had no issues, but she is afraid of her Dad.
Her Dad was a military judge and has been scared and overprotective. He’s tried to keep his daughter safe and somehow that’s gotten lost along the way. He doesn’t know what to do or how to deal with it, but he does know that he loves his daughter. I do think that is an important point to make because so often in television shows, you see military parent unable to express their love for their child. It’s as if emotions are a disease, and it’s not that way here.
No part of me doesn’t love Gabi and Trent working together. Seeing the two of them together reminds me that I ship these two, but also just how great they work together. They can understand each other in a way that other people don’t get. They just make good partners.

JAILHOUSE
Sir is sirring and it ain’t a cute look. He’s not doing well being locked up and I think no one would be. The man wants Gabi to visit him and it’s weird. It’s weird because he’s obsessed and I am also wondering why a restraining order wasn’t issued.
Sir tried calling Gabi and she wouldn’t accept. The thing is though, she could have blocked him. All she had to do was press three. She just couldn’t bring herself to do it. I do think that has to be a hard pill for her to swallow, as she wants to be rid of him, but she doesn’t really know a life without her anger at him.
Sir thinks getting into a fight will bring her there. It could, but who is going to tell her? I can guarantee that Trent isn’t going to, but he will show up at the jail to see what happened.
There is this weird push and pull with Trent and Sir. We know that it’s because they both have feelings for Gabi and I would venture to say that she has feelings for the both of them. But this whole manipulative state that all of them are in is very toxic.
I was thrilled when Trent told Sir he wouldn’t see Gabi again. We all know that there is a chance that he will – a big chance. But then, with Gabi entering therapy… who knows?

ETHAN AND GABI
Sometimes I miss Ethan and then I think that he’s working with Sir and I get over that really quickly. I feel like Ethan is hiding something but then again, Ethan is a shrink, so he definitely is.
Gabi won’t stop bugging him – asking if he will be her therapist. I am not sure how this is healthy at all because Ethan holds everything against her. He blames Gabi for most of the issues that he has in his marriage.
I do believe that there is a possibility that Ethan is the one who is helping Sir, but I also believe that Ethan loves his husband more than anything. I also believe that Dhan loves Gabi and Ethan and will never want to choose between the two.
What is hard for me is that Gabi knows that this whole setup could cause a bunch of issues and she still moves forward with it. I don’t think that Gabi is always selfish, but I do believe that sometimes she doesn’t think of the world around her. If these two can’t find their way through it and stay civil, it affects everyone at M&A.
There was the shock that Ethan said yes, that he would do it. I get the intrigue though, so I don’t feel like I can fault that. I just don’t see this working out well.

WELL I DIDN’T SEE THIS COMING
What I do love about the people of M&A is that they work together so well that they are going to figure out what is happening. They all won’t quit until it’s done. Zuri kept calling back on her burner phone and there was this part of me that broke because Zeke was having a hard time not being able to save her.
The team does figure out that it is one of Zuri’s dad’s old cases that has taken her. It turns out it was one of her roommates, who felt that Zuri’s Dad destroyed her life. I hated that for Zuri and well, for her Dad.
What I loved in Found Season 2, Episode 13 was that we saw all of these people that are falling head over foot for Zeke, but seeing how much Lacey has fallen made it even better for me. I ship these two – they’ve been each other’s protectors, shoulders, and more. Zeke has feelings for her, but she has not made it easy for him to know.
I do want them to find happiness – wherever that leads them.

JAMIE OVERSTEPS
There are things that I understand about the crew at M&A, but there are also things that I don’t think I ever will. When it comes to Jamie, I do not understand why they’ve let him have free reign. The thing is – we don’t know who he really is and what has happened to him.
I am not saying that Jamie deserves to be ostracized, but he does need to come up with answers.
He knows that he messed up and that he has to prove himself. When he takes Margaret to the bus station and talks to her about how he feels and what is going on with him – I cried a bit. I cried because Margaret needed something from him and he was able to give her something.
Some sense of understanding.
I just don’t understand why he won’t say who took him. There is something strange about that and I think that answers need to be given. Right now it just feels like Jamie is up to something and what that is, I do not know.
At the bus station, it feels like he just wants his Mon to love him, but then again he’s still making sure to put up a wall. I feel like Margaret handles it really well, even though you can see in her eyes she is struggling.
I believe that Margaret is in part struggling because she has to set boundaries for Jamie at M&A, but she also has to call him out for his fascination with it.
It just bugs me that Jamie is doing all of these things, but he will not let Margaret know who took him. There are so many things that could be solved if he just opened up and told what happened to him.
Who took him? Where has he been? Why hadn’t he come up to Margaret before that day? There is just so much and I am not sure that we’ll ever get answers.
I hope we do.

OTHER THOUGHTS
- Happy that Zeke is getting all this attention, but see what is in front of your eyes.
- I love love love the idea of Zeke and Lacey being together
- Ethan – I don’t trust you
- I was happy that Margaret told Gabi that the rest of the team could be involved in figuring out who took Jamie
- Is Jamie, well… Jamie?
- Does Gabi have Stockholm syndrome?
I’m now leaning more towards that Jamie is actually Margaret’s son – especially with the way he reacted to his middle name. But I think that could be true and he could be linked to Sir or Heather or both.
After this episode, I too think Jamie might be Margaret’s son, which ratchets up the importance on who took Jamie and why he does not want his father and sisters to know he has returned. Given that someone known to Margaret and Jamie had a hand in his abduction, I really need to know what Jamie was told about why he could not go home.
I knew Gabi would not block Sir’s access to her, but I was glad the show let us know that she is not keeping the lines of communication open for her cases, since she not only never called him, she let the crew know he reached out. I agree that even when it is ruinous, when so much of your existence and identity are wrapped up in another person, it can be hard to cut the ties that bind, even if that is the thing you want most in the world.
As I try to figure out who is connected to Sir, my spidey-senses tingled a little bit harder at Ethan. Something is not right there. While it could simply be his not liking Dhan’s devotion to and willingness to self-sacrifice for Gabi, it feels like there is more to it.
So, in addition to the deeply disturbing Sir/Gabi/Trent “triangle,” we now have Lacey/Zeke/911 Operator (I’m blanking on her name).
