MobLand is Guy Ritchie’s new crime drama that will premiere very soon on Paramount+! The story is set in London and follows the rivalry between two powerful organized crime families: the Harrigans and the Stevensons. The fight for control of a global criminal syndicate will lead them to face each other in a war of loyalties, betrayals, and violence.
The cast of MobLand is led by Pierce Brosnan in the role of Conrad Harrigan, the patriarch of his family; Helen Mirren as Maeve Harrigan, the matriarch who runs the business with a firm hand; and Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza, a loyal “fixer” in charge of doing the dirty work and protecting the Harrigans at all costs. Other notable actors who are part of the cast are Paddy Considine as Kevin Harrigan, Joanne Froggatt as Jan Da Souza, and Lara Pulver as Bella Harrigan. They will play key characters throughout the episodes.
Initially, the project was born as a prequel to Ray Donovan under the title “The Donovans,” but over time it evolved into a standalone story. Production on the series began in November 2024 in London and faced several challenges, including theft of equipment and some financial problems.
Bearing the characteristic seal of Guy Ritchie, MobLand is sure to be full of action and will be a raw portrait of the world of organized crime. With a top-notch cast and a plot full of tension, there is no doubt that it is one of the most ambitious bets of Paramount + in its entire history.
