It makes sense that someone can get fired from Sesame Street, but we have chosen not to think about that or believe that it can happen. Little did we know that it has happened and it happened to Eiza Gonzalez.
The actress was on Plaza Sésamo, which is the version of the show in Mexico. She was only on for one episode and wasn’t asked back. Why? Well she was just a little mischievous.
While on The Kelly Clarkson show, the actress spoke about how she wasn’t asked back when she was just five eyes old. The actress said, “I was on Sesame Street for a blink of an eye because I got kicked out. It was my first ‘getting fired’ moment.”
I think we can all remember that first getting fired moment. Mine was a movie theater, but that’s a different story. Do you remember the first time you got fired?
She added, “I was a hyperactive child and I also liked to rile up people. Like, I was a complete menace. I made sure to rile up the entire kid team of children. I convinced them to break into the office and they had a mock-up of the entire set, and we were jumping on it and we broke it.”
And then said, “It was me and I got completely fired from my first job because I was a complete menace. My mom said, ‘You can’t do this for a living. You are just so naughty.”
That’s definitely a first firing story.
