We’ve talked before about Glen Powell‘s Mom and how special their relationship is. We’re back to talking about her because well, she’s amazing and supportive of her kids. She spoke about rumors concerning her son and Sydney Sweeney and for that – we applaud.
We can’t even imagine what it’s like to have the world commenting on your kid every single time you turn around. Recently, her baby girl got married and the world was surprised to see pictures of Sweeney at the event on March 29th.
“They’re definitely not together. It was just, like, she was there [at the wedding] with her friend,” Cyndy Powell said to the Daily Mail.
We all know that Powell and Sweeney became close friends on the set of Anyone But You. The world thought that the two were hooking up, and hey, everyone has opinions. Mama Powell though, she said that Sweeney is close friends with the Powell family.
Sweeney has been in the news for the speculation on the end of her relationship/engagement and so you know that tongues were wagging at her being at the wedding. But Powell assured the world that Sweeney had RSVP’d quite sometime ago.
“Nothing going on behind closed doors,” Cyndy said. “He’s the kindest person and he is so others-oriented. He loves his family, he loves his friends. And Sydney is a friend. They’ve been friends for so long. They’ve known each other for so long and they’ve both been single and together and with other people. They could have made anything happen that they wanted to at any point. But he’s got so many friends that care about him and he cares about, and he’s got a really nice group of friends that they kind of take care of each other. It’s really nice.”
“We love Sydney. We’ve considered her just a really, really good friend. We all were together so much, and we haven’t seen her in a long time. She’s really a friend and we all enjoy her,” she added.
We love that Cyndy Powell commented, because truth is, she didn’t need to. None of us is entitled to answers about anything. Our favorite thing she said though had nothing to do with Sweeney being at the wedding. Instead it was about the type of person that she wants to see her son with.
“I just want somebody that loves him unconditionally and he loves unconditionally, and they take care of each other and live happily ever after.” she said.
