There are many shows that we feel a certain sense of excitement watching. Found is one of those shows where I take a stop and watch it, rewatch it, and I look for things I miss. Found is sometimes one of the most irritating shows, but it’s also one of the best. I don’t know what they are giving these writers, but the writers are giving such good stuff, that all writers should learn from this room.
Missing While Manipulated is another episode of Found that giving us dynamic story telling and actors that are delivering the most that they can. Somethings shocked me and somethings I felt great about (cause I had figured out).
The team at M&A is complex and they are all going through something. I have complained about the fact that we don’t always get to know what we need to about the people of the group. This episode we’ve learned a lot more and we’ve also been left at a full stop, wondering just how much more intense this can get.
And that keeps us coming back.

THE CASE
We all know that Gabi has a past and she’s helped many people. Her and Margaret are at the office, when a man comes in an takes them hostage. Why? He has just been released from jail – where Gabi had put him – and his wife and son are missing. He’s insistent that Gabi is going to help find them.
Now we all know that Gabi is never going to not find the missing. She is going to do everything that she can to reunite people, but also to make sure that families are reunited. This man has gone to jail for child abuse and Gabi does believe that he’s done that.
Zeke is there via camera and is willing to call the police, but Gabi tells him to not do that. She wants to deescalate the situation, but Zeke’s instincts are to protect everyone on the team. Gabi is not wanting him to do anything, but what he does do is call in the members of the team that aren’t there.
He knows that Dhan and Lacey aren’t going to give up on saving Margaret and Gabi. He knows that Gabi and Margaret are in trouble.
So, knowing Gabi, she’s never going to put a child in danger. While Margaret and her are held in there, they are doing everything that they can to try and find the missing child – Jaylen.
I do love that Gabi has the patience of a saint and she’s ready to listen to what he wants. She’s making phone calls and she’s doing everything she can to ask questions. But the thing is, where the viewer can see that this isn’t going to be good is when the gentleman who took them hostage gets mad.
If he doesn’t get the answers that he wants, he just gets mad and hangs up on them.
Gabi and Margaret have a lot of work to do to calm him down.

JAMIE AND HIS S***
There are a lot of things that need to happen. Zeke about passes out when the cameras are shot out, as he needs his eyes. With Dhan and Lacey showing up, they do come up with a plan of what to do.
Dhan is at M&A standing outside and I have to admit that I was glad he was. The thing about him is that he is so loyal and so giving, that I knew that with him being there something would happen and that he would need to be there to control the situation.
Dhan stops Trent from going in and tells him what is happening. The hard part is when Jamie shows up and they have to stop him.
Jamie is finding a way to be involved in everything, but not meaning to. The thing with Jamie is that he keeps so many secrets that it is really hard to understand if and what he actually cares about any of them.
But for Jamie, when he hears that his Mom is in danger, he wants to be in there, saving her. Jamie starts screaming for his Mom and for the first time I actually like Jamie. I actually see some love coming from him.
And it makes me less mad at Jamie.
Because I definitely was mad at Jamie and definitely didn’t understand why it was that he went to see Sir. I wanted him to make sense, but he rarely does. So seeing him actually show some feelings and make some sense, it felt finally like I could get past him seeing Sir.
Because he cares about his Mom.

FIGURING OUT
Margaret hearing Jamie screaming for her – she’s leaving. What I do love is she’s willing to do is head right out the door and get to her son. Gabi is not going to let her get shot. She’s going to take control of the situation.
While I do love that Margaret was able to get out and get to Jamie, it reminded me of something. During this episode we’re seeing a lot of clues that remind us that at a point, Margaret is going to find out things. But it’s going to be all of them that are there for each other. M&A knows that right now, Margaret is going to need to Jamie close, but a bit of space.
And who rises to the occasion? Zeke and Dhan do. The two of them are willing to put up with whatever Jamie does, because of their love of Margaret. They are answering his questions, trying to support him, and trying to make sure that they are still doing their job.
I think that is part of what makes this show so special. They have such a close family and are willing to accept all of these people in, in order to make sure that everyone feels supported.
Jamie needs to feel a sense of belonging in the group and I think I understand why. Margaret has put M&A first and I think that he needs to understand why. I think that for Jamie, even though he knows that Margaret has never given up on him, he doesn’t see it that way.
He sees the team and M&A coming first.

FINDING THE MISSING
Lacey is my hero. She’s my hero, BECAUSE, she is willing to stand up to everyone that is involved. Dhalia, the missing Mama – Lacey went to see Dhalia’s parents. She’s ready to have a drag out conversation and call them out.
Lacey isn’t ever going to back down – she’s gone through a lot. I think that what we have to recognize is that she is worried about Gabi, which is pushing her over the edge. She is going to do whatever to save Gabi, but the thing that will press her heart even more is that she needs to feel a certain sense of strength in all that she does.
I believe that the team working together to solve everything and seeing the pieces come together was good, but it was a part of the things that got to me why I love this episode.
But it wasn’t just it.
It was seeing all of the moments that the crew is willing to stand up for each other. It’s all of the moments that are setting up for answers to come. It was all of the moments in the episode that showed me that the writers were thinking of everything and tying it all together.
The team does find Dhalia and long story short – Gabi’s not pressing any charges against the man that held her hostage. As a matter of fact – from the moment that Trent broke into M&A to save her – she’s said that he’s her client.
And everyone has backed her up.
After they find the missing Mom and son though, hostage taker wants to go to jail and serve his time. He wants to pay for what he’s done. It’s a moment I am not sure that i believe anyone would say, but here we are.

MARGARET PAYS A VISIT
Margaret visiting Sir has led to one big thing. She knows who Heather is. Now, I think that we’ve all known that Heather is a liar and that she’s not on the up and up about anything. But, who she is – well, I didn’t think that we’ve ever hear this one.
I forgot that Sir had a sister.
But Margaret didn’t forget. She realized that Heather is Lena – Sirs sister. She realized that they have the same mannerisms and she knew that something was a foot. I think that Margarets super power is kinda crazy amazing, but seeing her recognize someone from mannerisms felt a little out of whack.
I do love though that Margaret is standing by her convictions and her super power and tells Gabi what she knows.
And I love that she is back seeing Sir to let him know that he hasn’t gotten to her. That Jamie’s back and that he loves her. But we all know that Sir is setting her up for some sort of manipulation – and he definitely is.
He says something that reminds her of someone. Whatever it means though – it’s a cliffhanger and we may need a minute to find out.

OTHER THOUGHTS
- Dhan is a ride or die
- Zeke keeping his secrets and seeming distant – I wanna know why. Especially him pulling away from Lacey
- Trent and Sir having a pissing contest all the time is somewhat frustrating to witness all the time.
- I really hate Heather
- Jamie needs a haircut
- I love that Trent hasn’t fallen out of love with Gabi
Found airs Thursdays on NBC.
Another great episode.
It looks like Sir’s punishment for Margaret not bringing Gabi to see him is pointing her in the direction of the person who took Jamie, someone who is clearly closed to her.
I love the Heather reveal. Now that Gabi knows the truth, little miss Lena/Heather better not do anything that hurts Trent, because Gabi will clean her clock.
NBC better give us a Season 3 of Found.
