Ghosts Season 4 has thus far focused on weighty revelations, consistently delivering fantastic new character details that make the series even more compelling than before. Whether it’s finally learning what Hetty’s ghost power is in “St. Hetty’s Day” or realizing that Alberta broke a man’s heart in “The Bachelorette Party,” the fourth season is brimming with quality content. We also get a two-part romantic comedy with Sas finding love and in Ghosts Season 4, Episode 19, “Pinkus Returns,” the series drops a major bombshell about Trevor Lefkowitz.
In other words, H-Money shippers can rejoice because Hetty Woodstone and Trevor Lefkowitz are now the MILF and DILF of Woodstone Mansion. Yup, Trevor’s a dad, and naturally—we’re crying about it.
Asher Grodman Continues to Deliver Emotional Performances as Trevor Lefkowitz in Ghosts Season 4

Between “The Work Retreat,” “The Primary Source,” and now “Pinkus Returns,” Season 4 continues to give Asher Grodman sincere moments of vulnerability to continue showcasing how Trevor has grown. It’s especially riveting when we look back at his introduction and examine how it feels so right that Trevor would fully allow himself to get emotional at the realization that he has a daughter. There’s plenty of heart that Grodman continually sprinkles into everything he brings for the character, but this feels particularly heartwarming because it’s another realization for him that his legacy lived on, even while he died. From a complete state of shock to the most wholesome acceptance, there’s nothing that could’ve made the episode’s events more perfect.
Part of the reason Ghosts continues to be such an excellent series is because of its means to provide relatable narratives through characters that aren’t…well, alive. The humanity within the show and the perils the ghosts experience in their afterlife provide important reminders humans could always use more of, and for Trevor, so much of that is explored through his legacy. So much of it boils down to the need to leave his mark in a way that matters, and for the revelation of his daughter to come from Pinkus, of all people, makes the news that much sweeter.

As we learn in Ghosts Season 4, Episode 19, “Pinkus Returns,” Trevor was dating someone before he died, and she later hit it off with Pinkus. But now that she’s passed, Pinkus reveals that on her deathbed, she opened up about the fact that she’d been pregnant with Trevor’s baby and not Pinkus’. After a brief moment of shock, Trevor wholly welcomes the news with open arms. However, when he wrongfully reveals the truth to Abby, it leads to a conversation with Sam about her biological father in a way that’s so tender that it continues to be admirable how the show consistently delivers this level of softness.
(Sometimes I wish Sam would just tell people she could see ghosts!) Still, in the same ghostly way that we watch Pete reunite with his daughter in “A Very Arondekar Christmas,” we watch as Abby understands who her father was and how they’re connected. We watch as Trevor gleefully and proudly realizes what a wonderful kid she is, and how this is another thing in his life he can be fully proud of. The wholesome approach of simply looking at Abby is where Grodman is so great at presenting Trevor’s pride and how much he’s grown.
He’s only known her for a day, but there’s no mistaking the fact that Trevor Lefkowitz loves his daughter with his entire heart, and seeing that reflected in his gaze is something that’s especially lovely to see when you know grief. It makes the episode feel like a comforting blanket for the idea that even in the afterlife, love never dies. It grows and expands, and it’s going to be so lovely to see how this news inspires him to continue evolving into a better version of himself.
Ghosts airs Thursdays on CBS.
