Today (June 12) Prime Video confirmed that it’s adding 3 new cast members to Season 3 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
First up is Andrew Richardson. He’s set to be a season regular for Season 3. Richardson is a Canadian-born British actor who made his professional theatre debut in the Olivier Award-nominated Guys & Dolls. He trained at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama and he’ll be appearing next in the Peacock series Ponies starring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson.

Joining Richardson is Zubin Varla. He’s set in a recurring role. The award-winning British actor and singer is a graduate of London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama. And he’s won the 2023 Olivier Award for “Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical.” On screen his roles include multiple episode of Disney+’s Andor in addition to Deep State, Will, Our Girl, and Silent Witness. He’ll soon be seen in the upcoming Netflix series Hostage.

And finally we have Adam Young. He will also have a recurring role like Varla. The British actor is known for playing the role of Jim-Bob in the 2021 horror film Don’t Breathe 2. He was trained at London’s Mountview Academy of the Arts. And he made his screen debut in the 2018 film Two for Joy alongside Bella Ramsey. On TV he’s appeared in Apple TV+’s Masters of the Air, Netflix’s Sex Education, and the BBC’s Eastenders.

The third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is produced by showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne & Patrick McKay. They are joined by executive producers Lindsey Weber, Justin Doble, Kate Hazell, and executive producer-director Charlotte Brändström. Matthew Penry-Davey is producer and Ally O’Leary, Tim Keene, and Andrew Lee are co-producers.
All episodes of the first two seasons of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power are now available to stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories in multiple languages.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3 doesn’t have a premiere date yet but is expected in 2026.
