Lizzie and Lyra continue their rewatch of 9-1-1 Season 1 with Episode 7 “Full Moon (Creepy AF)”! And as much as they loved the hijinx feeling of some of these spooky calls the 118 had, this episode has problems born from the trials and tribulations of a freshman season. They’re looking at you, writers room.
Some of the dialogue was ignorant, particularly Buck implying that working in South America made it more likely to find yourself with tapeworms. Buck, you were working at a touristy bar. Athena clocked Hen real quick, when it came to something bugging her friend. And Hen and Karen deserved better than that a cheating storyline for one of the only LGBTQ+ couples on TV.
