We’ve been paying a lot of attention to the casting for The Last Sunrise, because we are excited for the movie. After all, we love the book which was written by Anna Todd. For the lead role of Julian the movie had done an open casting call for the role.
There casting call had said that they were looking for, “Character is Male, 20s, Spanish. Super model good looks, Julián is a strikingly handsome, confident, and unapologetically bold local Mallorcan with a quick wit and a strong sense of identity. He’s the kind of guy who commands attention wherever he goes… LEAD.”
We don’t think that they could have found a better Julián that Fernando Lindez. That jaw line alone – father forgive us for we have sinned thinking inappropriate thoughts. He’s a heart throb.
Lindez is best known for Elite and the upcoming Dimelo Bajito which is the new Spanish film based on the books by Mercedes Ron. You know that we love a Mercedes Ron movie adaptation and Dimelo Bajito will air this December on Prime Video.
And before you ask – yes, you can be known for a movie that isn’t out yet.

Fans looked at his body and everyone’s jaws dropped. One commenter said, “Well hello sir 👀👀,”” but our favorite comment was , “I’ll take two, thanks 😂.”

If you aren’t familiar with The Last Sunrise it is the story of Oriah Pera (Maia Reffico) feels like she’s stuck waiting for her life to begin. Her chronic illness and over protective mother have her stuck. Heading to Mallorca for the summer with her Mom, she knows that it could be where she comes into her own. Iin Mallorca she meets a confident, head strong, and charming man – Julian (Lindez). He infuriates her, but she can’t stay away. Their attraction is palpable.
As the summer goes on and Ry starts to live instead of exist, she must decide if she is going to be brave enough to let her heart be her guide and her love for Julián lead the way.
