Nicola Coughlan and Lydia West brought Maggie and Eddie’s complicated friendship to the small screen in Big Mood’s first season. The six-episode season debuted last year on Channel 4 in the UK and exclusively on Tubi in the US and Canada. The series, created by writer Camilla Whitehill, was renewed for a second season in February 2025. Now, as Big Mood Season 2 gets closer and closer, more and more news continues to come out. We’ve gathered all the must-know information, from casting to plot details, so you don’t miss a thing.

What Is Big Mood Season 2 About?
Channel 4 has released a synopsis of the upcoming season, which reads as follows:
“It’s been a year since Maggie and Eddie last saw each other, without any contact between the best friends. When Eddie suddenly returns for a wedding, she isn’t alone – Maggie has competition, in the form of an infuriatingly positive spiritual healer named Whitney. Can Maggie and her special brand of chaos find space in Eddie’s new life? Or will Maggie lose Eddie forever?”
Additionally, Channel 4 shared a video of Coughlan and West at a readthrough for Big Mood Season 2, where they teased a bit of what’s ahead. Coughlan agreed when West said, “It feels like coming home.” As for what’s in store, “New vibes but same friends,” per West. Though that answer changes when Coughlan suggests, “Not the same friends,” and continues with, “Fighting, love, and silliness.”
